Paris / Aachen, 6th May 2010 – The French high-tech company and QNX Solution Networks Partner, Sitre, with headquarters in Paris and the Aachen-based electronic specialist Ka-Ro electronics have signed a cooperation which in the first step will focus on the Ka-Ro TX51 module which integrates the QNX real time operating system.

Sitre was appointed as QNX Solutions Network Distributor in 2008 and is excellently positioned in the French market serving as a solution and service provider for the various application areas of QNX. Sitre customers are typically developers of embedded products in industrial automation, in transport or medicine or military areas plus a large number of other industrial segments. Sitre founder, Philippe Clausse, who previously held the position of Director of QNX Software Systems Europe, comments on the decision to cooperate with Ka-Ro: "We predict a significant activity in the market for Ka-Ro's new TX51 module as it enables our partners to build on a high-performance Freescale processor-based module which thanks to the built-in comprehensive functionality offers great cost- and time-saving potential."

Ekkehard Meurers, CFO of Ka-Ro electronics, says: "Our cooperation with Sitre is an excellent opportunity to position Ka-Ro long-term in the area of real time operating systems. Due to RIM's acquisition of QNX it will be expanding its market position in the embedded field. Based on Freescale's i:MX 51 and its successor Ka-ro has a unique opportunity to bring our technology to the communication centres of innovative information applications, including the field of automotive applications. By employing our modules, customers can boost the scope of performance of their products in a very innovative and worthwhile way."
